Parallel universes

Anyone impressed to see this kind of thing.

Parallel universes are a mental conception, which come into play the existence of multiple universes or realities more or less independent. The development of quantum physics and the search for a unified theory (quantum theory of gravity), together with the development of string theory, have a glimpse of the possible existence of multiple dimensions and parallel universes.

theory of multiple universes
Everett
One of the strangest scientific versions that use the parallel universes interpretation of multiple universes [1] Hugh Everett (IMM). This theory appears in quantum mechanics as a possible solution to the measurement problem in quantum mechanics. Everett described his interpretation as well as a metatheory. From a logical point of view the construction of Everett avoids many of the problems associated with other more conventional interpretations of quantum mechanics, however, the current state of knowledge there is no solid empirical basis for this interpretation. The measurement problem is one of the major "philosophical fronts" that opens the quantum mechanics. While quantum mechanics has been the most accurate physical theory to date, allowing for theoretical calculations related to natural processes that give 20 decimal places correct and has provided a wealth of practical applications (nuclear, high-precision clocks, computers) there are some difficult points in the interpretation of some results and foundations (the Nobel Prize Richard Feynman came to joke "I think nobody really understands quantum mechanics").

The measurement problem can be described informally as follows:

1. According to quantum mechanics an physical system, whether a set of electrons orbiting an atom or a group of politicians deciding the next global war, is described by a wave function. This wave function is a mathematical object that is supposed to describe the maximum possible information contained in a pure state.
2. If anyone outside the system or within the observer or trying to see how is the system, quantum mechanics would say that the system state evolves deterministically. That is, it could perfectly predict where will the system.
3. The wave function tells us what are the possible outcomes of a measure and their relative probabilities, but does not tell us what concrete results will be obtained when an observer actually try to measure the system or find out something about it. In fact, the measure of a system is a random value between the possible outcomes.

This poses a serious problem: if people and scientists or observers are also physical objects like any other, should have a deterministic way to predict how after the system under study together with the measuring apparatus, we finally got to a deterministic outcome . But the assumption that a measurement destroys the "coherence" of an unobserved state inevitably falls far behind in a state of random mixing, it seems that only left us with three outputs:

(A) or declines to understand the process of decoherence, whereby a system goes from having a pure state evolves deterministically to a state mixture or "inconsistent"
(B) or admit that there are some objects physical-called "conscience" that are not subject to the laws of quantum mechanics and we solve the problem.
(C) or try to propose a theory that explains the process of measurement, and measurements are not well determine who
theory
Different physicists have taken different solutions to this "trilemma":

1. Niels Bohr, who proposed an initial model of the atom that eventually gave rise to quantum mechanics and was long considered one of the defenders of the orthodox Copenhagen interpretation, are inclined to (A).
2. John Von Neumann, the mathematician who created the mathematical formalism of quantum mechanics and brought great ideas to quantum theory, was inclined to (B).
3. The interpretation of Hugh Everett is one of the approaches that bet type (C).

Everett's proposal is that each measure "unfolded" our universe in a number of possibilities (or maybe there already mutually unobservable parallel universes and each is given a different embodiment of the possible outcomes measurement). The idea and the formalism of Everett's perfectly logical and coherent, although some points on how to interpret certain aspects, particularly as enabling unobservability or coordination with each of these universes to happen in each slightly different. But otherwise it is a logically coherent and possible explanation, which initially did not arouse much excitement simply because it is not clear that this is a possibility falsifiable.

However, in a recent survey on the IMM, conducted by political science researcher L. David Raub, who interviewed seventy-two leading experts in theoretical cosmology and quantum raised in one of his questions these alternatives:

1. Yes, I believe the IMM is correct
2. I do not accept the IMM
3. Perhaps the IMM is correct, but I'm not convinced
4. I have no opinion for or against.

The results of the survey were: (1) 58% (2) 18% (3) 13% (4) 11%. Among the specialists who were in favor of (1) were, Stephen Hawking, Richard Feynman and Murray Gell-Mann, among those who chose (2) was Roger Penrose. Although Hawking and Gell-Mann has explained its position. Hawking said in a letter to Raub that "The name 'Many Worlds' is inadequate, but the theory essentially is right "(both Hawking as Gell-Mann called the IMM, 'Interpetación Multiple Histories'). Later Hawking has been said that "The IMM is trivially true" in a sense. On the other hand Gell-Man in a review of an article by American physicist Bruce DeWitt, one of the leading advocates of IMM, Murray Gell-Mann was basically in agreement with Hawking: "... apart from the unfortunate use of language, physical development of Everett are correct, if somewhat incomplete. " Other prominent physicists such as Steven Weinberg and John A. Wheeler is inclined to the correctness of this interpretation. However, the support of leading physicists to IMM reflects only the direction it is taking the investigation and the current outlook, but in itself does not constitute any additional scientific argument in favor of the theory.

white holes and Reissner-Nordström Universe

parallel universes in fiction

In regard to the literature of science fiction, parallel universes sometimes appear in relation to time travel. Thus, certain books and movies, argue that the travel time to a point in the past and then return to this universe there not the original, but rather to a parallel universe very similar to this but not quite the same.

This situation is a possible solution to save the principle of causality and without displaying the paradox of time travel. This kind of paradox is the kind of situation would be presented, if a time traveler could go back in time and killed his grandfather, the traveler would not be born and not born, it would be possible that this subject has traveled back in time . However, in an alternate reality or parallel universe, the traveler could interact with his "grandfather" and even make it disappear, and the traveler would remain, because it changed a reality other than his own, which originally broke. One consequence of these trips would be for the individual traveler would not be possible to return the reality that initially broke.

It has been suggested that some exact solutions of the Einstein field equation can be extended by analytic continuation beyond the worlds leading singularities mirrors ours. Thus the Schwarzschild solution for a spherically symmetric universe in which the central star has collapsed below its compressing Schwarzschild radius can be continued analytically to a solution of black hole (Schwarzschild white hole behaves as a temporary reversal Schwarzschild black hole).

An equally interesting option is the black hole solution of Reissner-Nordstrom can be continued analytically through a spatial singularity avoidable by a traveler. The solution describes two asymptotically flat universes connected by a black hole area.

Series Travel to Parallel Universes is the central theme of the television series Sliders but it is also a recurring theme in Star Trek and Stargate where the characters travel to worlds where historical results were different and different choices in their lives personal. Star Trek: The Original Series introduced the idea of \u200b\u200bmirror universe where the main characters are evil in the episode Mirror Mirror, a theme taken up in Deep Space Nine and Enterprise, while Star Trek: The Next Generation, in a chapter Lieutenant Worf travels to a lot of different universes where, for example, is married to the counselor Deanna Troi, Tasha Yar did not die or the Borg conquered the galaxy. In Star Trek: Voyager discovers something evil in another dimension called Species 8472. In Stargate, Dr. Daniel Jackson travels to a parallel universe where O'Neill and Carter are married, Teal'c is still the right arm of the Goa'uld Apophis and destroy the Earth. The series Lost in Space has a very similar episode to Mirror Mirror where Prof. Robinson and the largest West travel to a parallel universe where your evil twin are convicts, one of which exchanges with Robinson to steal your undetermined, as well as the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys where Hercules travels to a world where he and Xena are evil, while Ares is the god of love. In the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer playing the theme of travel between dimensions and parallel universes, including one where Willow Rosenberg is a vampire. And in the television movie Babylon 5: Thirdspace discover a passage to another world inhabited by a malignant kind you want to enter into our dimension to destroy all life on it, denomiandos Third Space Aliens. Animation

The Fullmetal Alchemist anime series touches on the theme of parallel universes. The theme is played in the Super Friends-like Mirror Star Trek Mirror, where Superman travels to a planet where the Super Friends are evil. Similar trips to parallel universes exist in the animated series Justice League. The animated series The Real Ghostbusters has its own episode "Mirror Mirror" in which travel to a parallel universe where ghosts are normal inhabitants of the world and humans are feared and hunted by Cazahumanos (spectral copies Ghostbusters Egon Ray and Peter), in addition to many chapters touch on the question of travel to other dimensions and interdimensional beings and gods.

Comics Marvel Comics and DC both have huge sets Comics miniseries dealing with parallel universes where comic characters have very different lives. One of the most important sagas is the Infinite Crisis DC Comics.

comic book Conan the Barbarian very often touches on the theme of demons and interdimensional gods. Film and literature

One of the pioneers of the subject is the writer of American horror and science fiction HP Lovecraft Cthulhu Mythos with narrating and powerful evil entities try to enter our dimension as Cthulhu, Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth, and trips to other worlds and dimensions by astral characters as Randolph Carter. In the book Rescue in time 1999 - 1357, the author, Michael Crichton, explains the time travel through the multiverse theory, making clear that you can not make time travel if travel to other universes similar to the original. The film tells the Ghostbusters as an ancient Hittite god called Gosser trying to break into our dimension. The Jet Li movie The One touches on the theme of parallel universes. Just as the literary series The Chronicles of Narnia and The Golden Compass (Northern Lights), along with their film adaptations.

    Home Made Candleshouston

    (2007)

is true what they say about an artist or grows as time passes or declines.
not the first post on Common I write and say is that it is certainly one of my favorite hip hop artists.
This guy pulled out of Chicago in July 2007 Finding Forever which is their seventh studio album and which is seen as growing increasingly common.
This disc is not for me the best of all, but if one of the best points as always committed to a sound background soul, truly black music.
There are several issues that highlight of this disc, one is "The People" a song that has a social reading and "the Game" another song with background political spheres. These two issues are the ones who left you a video and as always your official website.

    The People.

BlackStar-Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star (1998) MOBY-LAST NIGHT

The year 1998 was a very good year for American Hip Hop. Among others who were beginning to have its impact as Common Sense in the city of Chicago emerged in New York City hip hop par excellence and history behind their backs with names like Mos Def and Talib Kweli who did return again that genuine sound City by forgetting a little Gansta Rap west side Notorious Big 2Pac or the head.
Blackstar is the fusion and union of these two great New York rappers who brought fresh sounds, fresh lyrics, and a bunch of buddies to get that for me has been one of the best rap albums that have occurred "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star."

No links to official sites or at least I have not found, but if I leave a video for the song "Respiration" that came on this wonderful disc and in which part Common Sense (now Common only).

Ap Biology Population Genetics And Evolution

    ( 2008)

has returned the king of music announcement by defining it somehow. Moby returns with new album under his arm getting a little back in time and giving this Last Night a touch more piano and dance that made him famous on his album "Play." Perhaps the only difference is the introduction of some of hip hop but in short would be the second part of "Play."
Even so it seems to me that this album does not mean lack of quality in their tracks, on the contrary, this decrease becomes more electronic style to make Moby (the nickname that gives a face to its most trade) again in the way that many fans waited in previous albums and that fans did not expect at all to hear. Finally
Moby is well known, is a musician and producer and the top of a pine I must say, and I hope to continue giving as good songs as this and previous albums.

THE PINKER TONES-THE MILLION COLOUR REVOLUTION (2006)

This is a duet in concert become three, the duo are or as they say Doctor Professor Manso and Furia. This duo met back in 2001 and are curious as I read biographies.
In case your music and are curious, you hear this record and such that live feel should be a last band, but the surprise is that his music comes from a DJ set of very well prepared and a show off of the ordinary. His music is
between the electronic funk and pop making an explosive and very funny, catchy and very striking.
This album in particular is itself a work quite cheerful and have won the international reconociento halfway around the world can be so with his peculiar way of understanding music.
